In a world untouched by humans, a society emerges- one unfamiliar to most, but dear in the hearts of many; A society populated by individuals of a feline descent, though akin to us in other, unexpected ways. They live in Clans, as the Warriors in Harper Collin's synonomous book series. They worship the stars, as Warriors do, they protect their territory, and build their nests, and have their kits, all, as Warriors may often do. But their nests are lined with fur hide, scraped clean and stitched together. Their furred bodies are adorned with trophies and accessories made not with paws and fangs, but a more delicate touch. In the center of each den lies a pit full of coals, kept low during the warmth of Greenleaf, used only to roast meat, but stoked to comfortable warmth in the colder moons.
They are not cats, but sphinxes, taking the place of humanity, their culture taking it's very first steps.

What is a Sphinx?
A creature with the face of a human and the body of a cat. Their front paws are articulated, able to grab and move things with ease. They may also have extra traits, such as hair, wings, or feathered accents. To learn more, please visit our Biology Page.
To make it 100% clear, we are referring to Sphinx, the mythological creature, and not Sphynx, the breed of cat. Though your Sphinx may be hairless if you wish.
How different is this AU to canon?
Short Answer: Very.
Long Answer: The group structure and most of the religion have been unchanged. These are the fundamentals FoS sticks with to keep it's heart of "Warrior Cats, but with Sphinxes". No canon characters or representations thereof will be present in this AU. Some aspects of Clan life have changed, such as the ages at which the various ceremonies are performed, and the naming system. The Clans are a bit more developed, as a result of the Sphinx's dexterous hands, able to weave dens, tame fire, and create wood and stone tools. However, most Sphinxes consider weapons dishonest, and the use of them flippant towards the weapons nature has already given them- their claws and fangs which very much still work- and so most tools are used in camp, asisting with daily life.
